I'm not sure I can adequately describe the way the influence of Jane Austen on my life. Her novels have meant the world to me as a reader. This is one of my first designs and evokes my love for the novel. I wanted something classy and minimalist for this laser-engraved Stanley.
Design includes a silhouette of Darcy and Elizabeth with the quote "You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you." It also includes flowers that remind me of England in the Spring.
Several other symbols for the novel, a horse-drawn carriage, a house reminiscent of Pemberly, and some more of my favorite quotes:
"They were within twenty yards of each other, and so abrupt was his appearance, that it was impossible to avoid his sight. Their eyes instantly met, and the cheeks of each were overspread with the deepest blush."
"When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library."
"I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun."
*sigh* Darcy was the first Rhysand and Wickham the FIRST Tamlin.
