About Us

My husband and I have a longstanding love of all things books. For years (before our kiddo arrived), we would spend every weekend morning sipping coffee and reading together on the couch in our home library (which has now predictably become the playroom).

My husband, a graphic designer, recently bought a laser engraver, and we quickly found it to be the perfect outlet for our shared love of fandoms. Together, we identify the perfect quotes, icons and visuals at the root of different fandoms and design custom graphics that will look amazing on a tumbler. We've found an entire community of book lovers on Etsy and enjoy sharing our passion, both through our existing designs and custom requests that allow us to dive into more niche fandoms.

What started as a hobby has become an incredible part of our lives. We can't wait to share our bookish love with you!

I'm not saying I'm a huge book nerd, but when I was in high school, I managed an international online Harry Potter fansite. For the past 15 years, I've shared my passion for reading as a high school English teacher and now as an Etsy store owner!

I'm a lifelong book nerd and professional designer – so creating bookish cups and gifts seemed like a natural fit! While my wife is the fantasy/fiction expert, you'll find me reading about tech, business and history (also, Star Wars).

 

OUR PROCESS

Each cup features custom-made graphics designed by Dave through a mix of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. The tumbler is then inserted into an xTool F1 and the design is engraved with a blue diode laser. 

The laser cuts through the powder coat to reveal the clean, stainless steel beneath. Unlike vinyl stickers, this process is permanent and the design won't wash off. We give each cup a thorough scrubbing with special soap and melamine foam sponges to give it a gorgeous sheen before packing it up for you!
